Unleash your inner Viking! Following successful runs in Edinburgh this year, Black Axe Throwing Co. have just arrived in Northern Ireland! Urban axe throwing will be in Belfast at South13 (Boucher Road) until 23rd December.
Described by The Times as “the new 10 pin bowling”, axe throwing is a sport in which the competitor throws an axe at a target, attempting to hit the bullseye as near as possible. Although usually an event featured in Lumberjack competitions, the last five years have seen an increase in commercial interest. Hailing from the backyards of Canada, urban axe throwing is one of the fastest growing social activities in America, and increasingly in Britain. Black Axe Throwing Co., as seen on BBC2’s The Scotmans and the Herald with Nish Kumar, are excited to bring their business to Northern Ireland this Christmas.
Although popular belief would have you think that axe throwing is a strength-based sport, it is a skill-based sport. You do not have to have participated in axe throwing before, or even held an axe for that matter, because Black Axe Throwing Co. have a myriad of qualified instructors on site to take you through the basics and improve your current skills.
To celebrate their launch in Northern Ireland, Black Axe Throwing Co. running a competition to win a session for one winner and up to ten friends! https://www.citizenticket.co.uk/win-a-black-axe-belfast-session/
